Hi eric I use the colored wax to see my etchings better after I do the first outline of my prejects, it helps me from doing double lines, but I do love to experiment also and did a beagle etching and used two different colors of the rub n buff, my friend just love it 🙂

How To Use Rub N Buff On Etched Glass
The Rub’n Buff will initially stick to the glossy non-etched part, as you can see in my photo above, but a firm rub (good pressure) should take it off. —When trying to remove the excess R’nB, rub the etched part as little as possible.
- Rub-n-Buff is not intended for glass so the instructions on the tube are not appropriate. The instructions say “allow to dry.” Do not do that. Apply the Rub-n-Buff and remove excess prior to drying. Otherwise, you may never get this stuff off. Once dry, it is relatively permanent.
